This 2 day course runs in The Lake District. It assumes you know the basics and are ready to become a technical mountaineer. We cover: advanced navigation, moving safely over steep ground, technical ropework and higher level scrambling skills. We also cover remote emergency procedures and simple problem solving. This course would give you the skills to move through the mountains with complete confidence and safety. If time allows we will then move onto technical rock climbing to further enhance your skills. The number one reason Mountain Rescue Teams are called is because of navigation mistakes, don’t be a casualty! This half day/evening course run in the Yorkshire Dales, starts in the late afternoon and into the evening. Learn how to micro-navigate using a map and compass in complete darkness. This course is ideal for people who have an NGB assessment on the horizon as well as mountaineers wishing to hone up their navigation skills and navigate like a pro!
